The Gosford Open and NSW Country Championship

The Gosford Weekender was a Myer Tan Australian Chess Grand Prix/ACF Grand Prix event They came from all over - Picton ; Bathurst ; Canberra ; Coffs Harbour (Newcastle; Sydney etc) and they competition was keen - last year's co-country champs met in the last round - Alan triumphed over Fritz then but by then Paul had put a buffer between himself in the bid for the championship (half a point behind was a fellow country player (not a member of the Association though).

Congratulations to Johny again (you can see the link to last year's report under his photo) for his 'double' too, perhaps that's the only double he should concentrate - and forget the horses (Melbourne Cup season or no).
